Blanchflower Workshop

Welcome to Blanchflower Guitars

After years of playing and modding guitars, combined with a hunger for custom models that my bank account didn't allow, I decided to have a go at building my own guitars from scratch.  Lumps of timber in hand and two decades of experience as a carpenter/general builder, Blanchflower Guitars was born.

Initially starting with my take on T and S style guitars, I soon had a hankering to build something original.  I wanted to make the concept individual yet instantly recognisable alongside the classics. Taking nods from guitars I've adored through my guitar journey thus far, I took pencil to paper, then on to hard formed outlines.

MarcusDluxe Pedalboards

This all sat fermenting, on the back burner whilst I carried on the popular MarcusDluxe Pedalboards. Then, a move of house and a new workshop gave me the time and environment to take this idea to the masses. With the official launch of the brand at the Brighton guitar show in July 2024, the current single design, the Blanchflower Bolt, in it's three guises went down a storm. So much heartwarming, positive feedback.

Using quality tonewoods combined with a selection of components chosen to compliment the guitars aesthetics, promote playability and ensure resonance, people who have played them sing their praises. If you'd like to find out more please, get in touch.

Blanchflower Bolt

Blanchflower bolt

The Bolt is the first model from Blanchflower guitars which are made by myself (Marcus) at home in my workshop. I take hand selected timbers and marry them together to make beautiful, tonally vibrant instruments.

Testimonials

Hey man! The show was amazing, quite possibly the best show we have ever played and the guitar was like nothing else man! It was dynamic, punchy, so easy to play and when I clicked on my solo boost it soared across that venue it was glorious! Everyone loved it too, got many compliments on the guitar and tone. It genuinely had felt like it had been my guitar for years and that is something very special to find in an instrument so hats off to you!

I would have replied last night but by the time I was home it was quite late and didn’t want to text at a silly time!

I’ll get some videos back soon, and I’ve got some photos that I will sort out for you too. There are some wicked shots of the guitar. And what’s quite funny is when I showed it to our photographer he said it was very me haha!
